Parcelpost
Five product teams, five versions of every button. We built a design system from what they already shipped, and new screens now take days instead of weeks.

The problem
Parcelpost had grown to five product teams, each with its own copy of the buttons, forms and tables. Designers redrew the same screens, and engineers rebuilt them, slightly differently each time.
What we did
We started with an audit, not a blank canvas: 214 screenshots, sorted by component. From those we picked the versions that worked and wrote them down as tokens and components.
- Tokens for color, type and spacing, generated for Figma and CSS from one file.
- 38 components in React, each with keyboard and screen reader tests.
- Docs with do’s and don’ts taken from Parcelpost’s own screens.
The result
The first team to switch shipped a new returns flow in eight days. The previous flow of a similar size had taken five weeks.
