Four people. One long table.
Bolt & Grid started in 2019 when a designer and an engineer got tired of handing work over a wall. We still sit at the same table.

We are a small studio on purpose. Everyone who works on your project designs or writes code, including the founders, and nobody's job is to forward your email.
We work for early-stage software teams: seed to series B, usually with a product that works but doesn't yet look or feel like it. We like problems with numbers attached: sign-ups, activation, time to first value.
When we are not working for clients we build small tools for ourselves and write about what we learn in the journal.

What we believe
Show it working
A link beats a slide. We put work in the browser as early as we can, even when it's rough.
Numbers over opinions
We agree on what success means before we start, and measure it after launch.
Fast is a feature
Every launch scores 100 on Lighthouse and passes WCAG AA. Speed and access are not extras.
Who you'll work with
Mara Vos
Co-founder, design
Runs teardowns and research. Will ask to see your analytics in the first call.
Jonas Brink
Co-founder, engineering
Writes the first commit and the last one. Cares a lot about build times.
Ilse Okafor
Product designer
Design systems and interface details. Keeps the component library honest.
Ruben Hale
Front-end engineer
Accessibility and performance. Tests everything with a screen reader first.
